**The Emporia Recreation Commission asks parents to decide what is right for your child at this time. We are working with local and state authorities as well as the Kansas Recreation and Park Association (KRPA) to ensure we comply with the guidelines being put into place to provide the best possible experience for all.  However, the ERC cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren)will not become infected with COVID-19.**

Minor Baseball - 3rd & 4th Graders

Minor baseball is for youth in 3rd & 4th grades and will play in a travelling recreation league with other communities.  Teams will play single games and occasional doubleheaders both home and away.  There is a mandatory player workout April 15 or April 17, 2021.  Practice times and dates will be set by the coaches after the coaches meeting.  Coaches meetings and team formation will be held the week of April 19, 2021.  Coaches will contact players after the coaches meeting.  Register for the league based on your current grade.

  • Ages: 3rd & 4th graders
  • Registration Opens: December 21, 2020
  • Early Bird Registration Closes: Closed
  • Regular Registration Closes: Closed
  • Early Bird Fees: USD253 resident - $35; non-resident: $40
  • Regular Fees: USD253 resident - $40; non-resident: $45
  • Mandatory Player Workout:
    • Thursday, April 15, 2021 - 6:30 p.m. at Peter Pan Park or
    • Saturday, April 17, 2021 - 3 p.m. at Peter Pan Park
  • Coaches Meeting:  Week of April 19, 2021 
  • Players Assigned to Teams:  Week of April 19, 2021
  • Practices Begin:  Week of April 26, 2021 - days and times set by coaches
  • Games Begin: Week of May 24, 2021
