  1. Adult CoEd Summer Softball Session 1 Registration closes

    Adult Softball Leagues are designed for recreational purposes to encourage participation and enjoyment. The Emporia Recreation Center reserves the right to combine leagues, waive minimums, increase maximums and change game locations to fully utilize each team’s participation. Full payment is required at registration to insure your team a spot in the league. Emporia Recreation will not supply softballs for league play. Teams will supply their own softballs for each game and will hit their own ball.

  4. Youth Tennis Session 1 Registration closes

    Former ESU Head Tennis Coach Dr. George Milton is offering tennis instruction this summer for the ERC. George brings a wealth of tennis background and experience. All tennis balls will be provided. Rackets available upon. Please bring your own water bottle. Each session will be held at Hammond Park Tennis Courts, 18th and Merchant St, twelve lessons per session.

  5. CoEd Machine Pitch Baseball Registration Closes

    April 21, 2021, 1:30 PM - May 26, 2021, 5:00 PM

    The main purpose of this program is to further instruct basic/intermediate fundamentals and provide an overall fun experience for the young participant. This is an instructional program for 7 & 8-year-old kids. Machine pitch is COED and will be a five- to six-week program with practices and games. Kids will be divided into teams and assigned practice times Mondays and/or Wednesdays with no more than two practices or games per week. The last three weeks will be a six-game league schedule. Volunteer coaches are needed.

  6. Hornet Baseball Camp Registration Closes

    April 21, 2021, 1:30 PM - May 26, 2021, 5:00 PM

    Emporia State Head Coach Seth Wheeler and his staff will offer an exciting baseball camp for young ball players. The camp offered for kids 5-9 years of age will concentrate on pitching and catching as well as hitting and defense. Camp for ball players 10-14 years of age will concentrate on all aspects of the game. Come ready to have a good time and learn the fundamentals of baseball. Don’t forget to bring your glove, hat and shoes. Camp will be held on Glennen Field at the Trusler Sports Complex.

  7. Instructional T-Ball Registration Closes

    The main purpose of this instructional program is to teach basic fundamentals and provide an overall fun experience for the young participant. Participants will learn how to play with others as members of a team. Instructional T-ball will be a five to six-week program. Kids will be divided into teams and assigned practice times Tuesdays and/or Thursdays with no more than two practices or games per week. Each practice will be part learning fundamentals and part team practice. The last three weeks will be a six-game league schedule. Volunteer coaches are needed.
