On December 4, 1956, four young musicians gathered at Sun Records for one of the greatest jam sessions ever. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET brings that legendary night to life. The New Theatre and Restaurant in Overland Park, KS is one of the most successful dinner theaters in the country. They have a superb menu served buffet style. Please join us!

A Visit to the Vineyard
Learn the ins and outs of grape growing and enjoy the beautiful property of Allen and Cindy Robertson. This day trip will start in the morning with a tour of the vineyard and operation of Bobwhite Vines and end at the stylish remodeled barn with lunch and wine tastings of the brands that use their grapes. Don’t miss out on this visit to the vineyard, we may even hitch up the tractor for a wagon ride!

Kansas City Royals Game
Join us for America’s favorite past time as we cheer on our Kansas City Royals as they play the Cleveland Guardians! (The game has changed from the date in the Summer Activity Guide.) We will have an epic tailgate at Kauffman Stadium complete with hotdogs, chips, salad and a drink. Then we will head into the stadium in time for the first pitch. For it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out at the ole’ ball game!

Celebrate America!
Celebrate America with a traditional 1870’s 4th of July celebration at Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita KS. We will spend the day exploring the many buildings, watching a medicine show, dancing girls, gunfights, pie eating contest, plus a vintage baseball game! Tours and demonstrations of carpentry, print shop, blacksmithing and more! Visit the saloon for sarsaparilla, snacks, and souvenirs to purchase. Before heading home, we will stop for a late lunch.

Festival of the Butterflies at Powell Gardens
Step into the magical world of butterflies and enjoy opportunities to learn more about these fluttering creatures. Join us at Powell Gardens as we take the afternoon to be in nature and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We will eat at El Paisas Mexican Restaurant where lunch is on you. We will spend the afternoon enjoying the scenery arriving back in the early evening at the ERC.

Based on the show business aspirations and successes of R&B acts such as The Supremes, The Shirelles, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, and others, this spectacular musical follows the story of a young female singing trio from Chicago, Illinois called “The Dreams”, who become music superstars – three talented young singers in the turbulent 1960s, a revolutionary time in American music history. Full of onstage joy and backstage drama, DREAMGIRLS tells the rags-to-riches story of a Motown girl group and the trials and tribulations that come with fame and fortune. .
