Come join us for an all-new, fun-filled summer at Summer Scape! Summer Scape is a licensed daycare program through KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment). Our purpose is to serve the child, the parent and the community by providing an affordable, safe, positive atmosphere for summer break. From Pirates and Safaris to Dr.Seuss and the Olympics, we have all kinds of fun, themed weeks planned for your student.
Summer Scape will be supervised by qualified leaders 18 years or older with a minimum of ten hours of KDHE-approved training and experience working with children. Staff will also practice social distancing and frequent hand washing to keep everyone safe. Masks will be required inside and while traveling. We will maintain a 1 to 15 ratio with a program that strives to meet the developmental needs of all age groups and their individual needs. This program includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and field trips.

Open since 1960, Emporia’s longest running Day Camp, Camp Wilson is an outdoor adventure day camp where kiddos can take a break from their screens and be active outdoors! Day campers will learn team building and core values along with outdoor activities. Campers will also enjoy their favorites like fishing and swimming with nature-themed activities. Every week campers will have a full day of outdoor adventure that will create memories that last a lifetime.

Campers will need to be dropped off and picked up at Wilson Park, located on the Emporia State University Campus. We will take field trips to Peter Pan park for more outdoor activities. Have you ever wanted to go turtle trapping or hunt for a animal track? Maybe you would rather do a little snake wrangling or bug catching! These are just some of the exciting activities that ESU Biology faculty will lead your child through at the new PAROC building for Science Camp! This camp will have activities both indoor and outdoor. Campers will meet each day at the new PAROC building and will need to bring a sack lunch Tuesday through Thursday. Lunch will be provided on Friday. The camp will take some off-site trips to the Ross Research Center Area. Come join us as we learn and get excited about science.

Registration is full for Science Camp. No additional sessions will be added due to ESU Biology faculty availability.
