Beyond the Bell
This non-school day camp is offered on days that school is out! It includes a variety of sports and activities for your kids to enjoy. We also have craft projects and swimming in our indoor pool. This is a great opportunity for kids to have fun and be active on their days out of school. Fee includes snack and drinks. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch.

ERC Biketeers Bike Club
The ERC invites you to join our Biketeers bike club. This free club is here to encourage everyone to ride, no matter your skill level. This is a great way to get out, stay active and meet new friends. We have a lot of fun rides planned, so make sure to bring your kiddos!

Kids Camp
Are your kids still talking about camp from the summer? Well, you’re in luck! The ERC is hosting kids camp twice a week hosted by some of their favorite counselors from Summer Scape and Camp Wilson. Camp will be full of games, crafts, music, theme days and much more. This is a great way for your kids to stay active and for you to have a date night. Fee includes snack and supplies.

Spooky Slime
Who’s ready for spooky season? The ERC wants you to join us for this fun-filled class where we make spooky slime together and get ready for Halloween. Hosted at the ERC Community Room, kids will have the opportunity to have fun and be creative making slime together. This spooky, tactile activity will be sure to get your kids in the Halloween Spirit and let us deal with the mess. Price includes snack and supplies for Slime. Kids get to go home with two different Slimes.

Esports Teamwork Tactics: Overwatch 2 Coaching and Teambuilding
Time to get your game on! The ERC in partnership with Hornet Esports at ESU wants you to join us for an exciting and educational class where you can learn about the popular esports title Overwatch 2. Our Varsity athletes will teach valuable skills in team building, decision making and cooperation through this fun, free, interactive game. On top of this, players will learn about the dozens of career paths and thousands of jobs associated with the esports industry. Hosted in the brand-new esports arena on the first floor of Cremer Hall on campus, you will have the opportunity to play on state-of-the-art gaming machines and learn from our collegiate coaches. Whether you are brand-new to PC gaming or have achieved a high rank in Overwatch 2, everyone will have something to gain.

Haunted Rec
Who’s ready for Halloween?? No need to go out of town, we have your Haunted House right here in Emporia. The ERC is proud to offer our first-ever Haunted Rec. Full of scares and frights! This one-time weekend event is sure to scare you into the Halloween spirit.
For our “scaredy cats,” come and enjoy our parking lot party with food and fun for all! (Weather permitting)

Age: Recommended for ages 11 and up

Letter to Santa
The ERC has teamed up with the BIG man at the North Pole to collect Wish Lists for Christmas again this year. The official North Pole mail box will be on display on December 1 with wish lists for the children to fill out and place in the magical mailbox for Santa. The lists will go directly to Santa and he will write each child back. Santa’s last day for wish lists is Monday,December 18 by 8:00am and letters will be mailed on Tuesday, December 19. Santa is looking forward to hearing from you!
Parents: If your kiddos can’t make it down to the ERC, starting Friday, December 1, you can stop by the ERC to fill out a wish list for your child. You can also call the ERC at 620-340-6300 during office hours (8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday). We’ll add your child’s list to the mailbox to receive a special letter from Santa.

Teddy Bear Christmas Picnic
It’s the most wonderful time of year. Full of wonder and giving. On December 2, the ERC will host a fun-filled morning full of Christmas cheer for you and your teddy bear. We will make Christmas Cookies, a fun tree ornament and have a picnic. In the spirit of giving, we ask that you bring an extra special toy or teddy bear to be donated to SOS and help give another child a special Christmas. Fee includes snack and supplies.
