Emporia High Soccer Academy EHS Soccer Coach Oscar Macias will be hosting a youth soccer camp with the focus on fundamentals, ball skills, field-spacing, and offensive/defensive positioning. Ages 7-10 will develop their passing/ball skills and understanding of rules. Ages 11-14 will focus on teamwork and offensive and defensive spacing on the field. The camp will provide a fun, safe and productive environment, with the maximum amount of learning about the most popular sport in the world. ERC Fall Soccer- DeBauge Family Sports Complex 4201 W. 18th Ave. Be a part of the #1 growing sport in the country. TRYSA/ERC soccer leagues are for age groups 4-K (U6), 1st-2nd (U8), 3rd-4th(U10), and 5th-6th (U12). Players must be 4 years of age by August 1, 2018. Games will be played during the week and on Saturdays. Practice times and dates will be set by the coaches; players will be contacted by the coaches after the coaches meeting. Coaches meeting will be held the week of August 13. All kids will receive a t-shirt jersey and soccer socks. For ages 3rd grade and above, there will be separate boys and girls leagues, if we have enough interest. Lower grades will be COED. VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED.

Micro Soccer Clinics This program prepares children ages 3-4 for organized soccer in a fun, non-threatening environment. The program allows children the opportunity to work one on one with a parent and coaches to learn basic soccer skills. Sessions are held once a week for 5 weeks and each week the exercises will become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement. A parent or significant adult must attend the clinics with the child. Sessions are offered on Wednesdays either 6:00-6:30pm or 6:45-7:15pm. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Youth Indoor Soccer This soccer program will provide girls and boys the opportunity to play and develop an interest in the sport. Ages for this program are 4-K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-6th. The purpose is to teach the ideals of fair play and sportsmanship while having fun and refining skills. There will be a short skills clinic prior to assigning teams. Teams will consist of 6-10 players, and goalkeepers will be used for older age groups. We will play on turf at the EHS Jones Building and in the ERC Gym. Start Date: Fall 2018

Youth Fee Waiver Scholarship Policy For Youth Indoor Soccer- The Emporia Recreation Center will follow the guidelines used by USD253 to determine the qualifications for free or reduced price meals. Those who reside in the USD253 school district and are enrolled in Kindergarten through Tenth grade, may apply for a fee waiver by contacting the Emporia Recreation Main Office. Those eligible for free lunches will have a $5.00 co-pay per activity, those with reduced lunches will pay half of the cost of the activity. All fee waiver participants are limited to six activities per year (August through July). Your 2016/2017 Food Service Eligibility letter must be shown at time of registration to receive the discount.
